Selenium + E contains two extremely valuable antioxidants, organic selenium and natural vitamin E, synergistically combined for maximizing their potential in the prevention and management of cellular free radical damage. Selenium is an essential component of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme which reduces toxic hydrogen peroxide from within cells. Glutathione peroxidase is lacking in individuals with jaundice, schizophrenia, diabetes, alcoholism and cancer.
